my high school journey

This blog is a window into my high school life — a collection of personal milestones, academic challenges, leadership experiences, and growth stories. I created it not just to reflect on the past, but to document the path I’m building toward the future.
Whether you're a university admissions officer, fellow student, or curious reader, I hope you'll find something meaningful here — a story of resilience, ambition, and purpose.
🎯 “I’m not chasing perfection — I’m chasing progress, every single day.”
Hi again! I’m Paarth.
I’m a 15-year-old student with a curious mind, strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn beyond the classroom. I study at GD Goenka Public School, Dwarka, and I’m currently in 11th grade.
This blog is more than a project — it's a reflection of my values, interests, and journey so far.
Academic Growth: From Setback to Comeback
In 9th grade, I scored 78% — not bad, but not where I wanted to be. So I made a decision: to focus, push harder, and challenge myself.
By 10th grade, I improved to an outstanding 92.4%. This leap wasn’t just about marks — it was about mindset, discipline, and learning how to learn. That experience taught me that growth is possible with consistency and self-belief.
MY ACHEIVEMENTS
(1)🥇 National Olympiad Gold Medalist (9th Grade)I won a gold medal and certificate in the National Social Science Olympiad — a proud moment that recognized my analytical thinking and academic (2)strength.🏆 Junior Olympics Champion (8th Grade)
I represented my school in the Tug of War event and clinched gold, showcasing my dedication, team spirit, and physical grit.
(3)📰 Times of India Workshop Participant (11th Grade)
Recently, I collaborated with peers in a creative media workshop hosted by the Times of India, where we crafted content for an Instagram campaign. I’ll be receiving a certificate for this enriching experience in digital media.

leadership and mentorship
-
One of my proudest moments in school wasn't a test score — it was the nickname I earned: “The French Translator.”
-
French was one of my strongest subjects, and I scored 96%, the second highest in my entire school. But more than that, I often helped classmates understand difficult grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I enjoyed making the language feel fun and simple — and many of them said I made a real difference.
-
This experience taught me:
-
How to explain clearly
-
How to be patient
-
And how rewarding it is to help others succeed
-
It made me realize that knowledge matters most when it’s shared.
✍️ Reflection: How I Turned a 78% Into a 92.4%
In 9th grade, I scored 78%. At first, I was disappointed — but then I realized something: that number didn’t define me. It was just a starting point.
So I made a choice — to work smarter, stay consistent, and take my learning seriously.
By 10th grade, I scored an incredible 92.4% overall, including:
-
98% in Artificial Intelligence
-
96% in French (second highest in my school)
-
91% in Social Science
-
90% in English
That jump wasn't luck — it was late nights, honest effort, and never giving up. It taught me that growth is always possible when you stay determined.

🌱 What I Believe In
Here are the four values I try to live by — in school, in life, and in every challenge I face:
-
Growth over perfection — I’m always learning, and I’m proud of the progress I make.
-
Helping others — I’ve earned the nickname “The French Translator” at school because I love helping my classmates understand.
-
Consistency matters — Real success comes from small, steady efforts.
-
Be curious, stay kind — I try to learn something new every day — and treat people with respect while doing it.

How I Stay Motivated (Even When It Gets Tough)
Motivation comes and goes. There are days I don’t feel like studying or I feel stuck. What helps me is breaking big things into small steps — like finishing one chapter instead of thinking about the whole syllabus. Also, helping others actually helps me stay on track too. When I explain something to someone else, I end up understanding it better myself. And sometimes, it’s just about showing up and doing your best, even if it's not perfect.
A Day in My Life
Most of my weekdays start pretty early — I’m usually half-awake during the first class 😅. But once things get going, I genuinely enjoy learning, especially in subjects like AI and French. After school, I either help some of my friends revise (especially in French — they jokingly call me “the French translator”) or catch up on stuff I didn’t get time for. I try to stay on top of things without burning out, which means making time for breaks, music, or just talking to friends. Not every day is perfect, but I’ve learned how to balance things better over time.

my creative section
In 2023, I started exploring video editing as a hobby, combining my interest in cars with a growing passion for visuals and storytelling. I used apps like CapCut and VN to edit cinematic car footage that I found on YouTube. I focused on matching transitions to the beat of the music, adjusting speed and timing, and adding clean text to give each edit a unique feel. Every video was marked with my personal watermark, "Paartheditz", which became my small editing identity. It was a fun and creative way to learn video editing on my own, and it taught me a lot about pacing, sound, and visual impact.
Note: These edits were created at different times in 2023, and I experimented with various watermark styles and fonts under the name “Paartheditz.” All videos are original edits made by me using CapCut and VN.
